As some of you may know my bike maintenance/technical skills are pretty poor and each time I have had an issue it has taken more time than usual to fix the broken thing that I have broken further trying to fix it, I have posted a few times now on Jackrabbitt.net about this.
Well after the latest broken shifter gears debacle I decided to run single speed, first time out with it was at Newcastleton on Sunday and I reckon it went well. I decided to run a 32 ring up front with the 16 on the back, fine for climbing if hill isn't too steep and not too bad for single track descents. Best thing is when doing any downhill you don't worry at all about the derailleur catching, gears skipping or even changing gear you just pedal, safe in the knowledge your fine unless you're chain snaps.
Hopefully some new pics from the day will be up in the next few days. Quite fancy buying myself a helmet camera now.

Recently I've been out riding (mountain biking) with a bunch of guys and girls in the rather splendid Scotland. Since this seems to be now a rather regular thing I've decided to add a Biking gallery page too and change the gallery page to Unicycling.
Also go check out Jackrabbitt these are the folks I've been riding with of late and it's been heaps of fun, great bunch of people and happy to welcome newcomers to their ever expanding network of action sports fans. All biking images in the gallery are currently taken from the Jackrabbitt website and are of my first few rides with them all. Check the Jackrabbitt site for the full biking and other sports photos.

Thought I'd do a quick update since it's been 4 months since the last one. All photos are now on the gallery page and I've added the two videos that are quite old now to the new videos page.
Nothing new has been happening, riding on my own mostly now and have managed to learn to ride one-footed for very short distances. Started to Mountain Bike again recently so I have spent more time and money building my bike up and going out riding two wheels instead of the one. Might put a mountain bike section up shortly if I get some decent photos to add to the site.

New layout for the new year, super simple version that has all content on one page. A new rider has been added to our small group so hopefully some photos of him in action will be up soon, his name is Fran and he learns super quick he puts me to shame.
We attended NUTS 8 in York late last year, weather sucked (was very wet) and only a few folk turned up but at least we met some other unicyclers and had a good time despite the weather.
